Festive Friendly Competition in Crandall

Having a Spirited Time in Crandall, Georgia with a Competitive Holiday Twist.

On Friday, December 16, 2022, the holiday team decorating contest winners were announced after two weeks of sprucing up the plant and preparing their workspaces.

There is a new trophy every year which gets presented to the winners of each department and they get “bragging rights” the rest of the year for their win!

Judging took place on Friday at 8:00 am by independent judges to keep it fair and the new Trophy is presented to the winners during the Christmas lunch at noon. Last year the Receiving Department won, and the 2022 winner is the Quality Department, led by Dianna Parks.

Although the top winner receives a trophy with Santa as the topper and bragging rights, all employees received gifts and were served a meal by the leadership team to ensure that everyone goes home feeling appreciated.

Joe Wood, Crandall’s Plant Manager reflects on the event, “This is our 2nd annual decorating contest we have had at Crandall and it gets very competitive. Our employees work hard, and this event shows how our leadership appreciates their work throughout the year. This really helps drive teamwork between departments and shifts. Our plant handles over 800,000 pallets per year in a warehouse of over 500,000 square feet.”

Rumor has it the teams are scheming for next year…stay tuned.
