CLI reaches IATF certification and ISO alignment while coordinating migration of its Document Control System to SharePoint

The Automotive specific IATF QMS standard is completely aligned with ISO 9001:2015, General Motors customer requirements and other automotive OEMs and Tier Suppliers.

Youngstown, Oh., January 8, 2018 – Comprehensive Logistics started a transformative journey in the spring of 2016 when it began upgrades for its document control system and internal intranet, improving ease-of-use and access for all employees. An exciting challenge was ahead for the CLI Team, and with extensive development and participation from all levels of the company, work began to assure proper documentation of CLIs proven processes and aligned those processes with both the ISO and IATF requirements. CLI’s diligence was a success!

Comprehensive Logistics now enters a new era of Quality compliance as we transition to the new IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System (QMS) standard. The new standard is replacing the TS 16949 requirements, for which CLI has been certified for many years. The IATF QMS standard is in complete alignment with the ISO 9001:2015 and General Motors customer specific requirements.

CLI had its first examination in its Dearborn and Avon operations by Smithers Quality Assessments company to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Both passes with flying colors! The latest test was at CLI Austintown, serving GM Lordstown, audited to the IATF 16949 standard and resulted in a recommendation for certification by Smithers Quality Assessments. CLI expects IATF certification early in 2018.
